Project Management The Project Management program at School Data Management consists of the following phases:
Implementation Orientation • A meeting with district personnel is scheduled in order to discuss the
implementation of EDU. This group identifies the personnel to be part
of the various implementation committees.
Evaluation/Assessment • An assessment is completed to compile demographic information for the
district. An evaluation of the current hardware infrastructure is
completed in order to determine any hardware needs that must be met to
successfully implement EDU.
Role Identification • This process identifies and establishes roles and the people who will
be assigned those roles. Those identified are responsible for the input
and maintenance of data in a particular module.
Conversion Stage • A complete review of the existing student information is completed to
determine what is to be converted over to EDU.
Support Plan
• A plan is defined for district personnel to obtain EDU support. (The
district DBA, and if applicable the school DBA should be trained to
provide first line support for EDU).
Training Plan
• The training schedule, essential to the successful implementation of
EDU, is developed to prepare end-users to complete the tasks identified
for their role. |
